As part of our ongoing work with UNICEF Malawi, Eluby Consulting traveled to the Southern Region to capture multimedia content in preparation for World Immunization Week 2026 (24–30 April).
Overview
This assignment focused on documenting the realities of immunization efforts at community level, highlighting the critical role of Health Surveillance Assistants (HSAs) in ensuring children receive life-saving vaccines.
Assignment Objectives
The primary goal of the assignment was to:
- Capture high-quality photo and video content of immunization activities
- Document the day-to-day work of Health Surveillance Assistants
- Highlight community outreach and last-mile vaccination efforts
- Produce impactful storytelling content to support advocacy and awareness
Approach
Eluby Consulting applied a human-centered storytelling approach:
- Immersed in communities across the Southern Region
- Documented both facility-based and outreach immunization activities
- Captured authentic, real-life moments of HSAs at work
- Focused on the journeys taken to reach children in remote areas
Deliverables
- High-resolution photographs of immunization activities and community engagement
- Video content showcasing HSA efforts and community impact
- Visual assets for use in UNICEF campaigns, reports, and digital platforms
Impact
This work:
